Established in 2014, Shining Stars is a day care and nursery school caring for children from 1 year through to the year in which they turn 6 years(Grade R). Our high caregiver to child ratio enable us to maintain a care, nurturing and stimilating “home from home environment for children from all cultures and religions. To cater all parents, we do not close for school holidays and we open from 5am to 6pm.

We also have have aftercare services until 7:30. We only close three weeks over December and January holidays period. We provide kids with four meals daily. I.e breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch and afternoon snack. We are registered with Gauteng Social development department and health Department of Johannesburg Metro Council.

Our mission is to provide safe, caring and homely environment for children ages 1 year to six years in Protea Glen and Soweto areas. Our focus is to provide an encouraging educational experience, promoting social, emotional ,physical and cognitive development. We strive to give parents complete peace of mind while being seen as as shining example of quality childcare centre. Our goal is to parents to feel good about their childcare choice and that children are safe, educated and happy.
